Grateful for the unexpected bfp this morning, but now worried as I'm very crampy after doing a 4 hour hike. How safe is exercise during early pregnancy? Can I realistically continue with these hikes? I generally do these hikes once a week, and try to walk an hour a day..

Absolutely keep exercising, being fit and healthy is great during pregnancy and will help during birth. Just don't over exert yourself, you may find you feel out of breathe quicker or your heart rate is increased or you even feel light headed. Push yourself to a comfortable level of challenge and stop if you encounter any pain or discomfort.

Hey
I knew I was pregnant a week in advance to a trip to London which involved many tube rides and lots and lots of walking around Kew gardens. Admittedly I felt like absolute rubbish so exhausted afterwards. I worried it might have been too much but here I am nearly two weeks after and sickness is in full swing and things seem to be going ok.
I think if you’re an active person then continuing to be active is ok. I will worn you, once the fatigue and sickness kick in you might not actually feel like a hike for a couple weeks 👀

I did 3x 5k runs in one week and that weekend got my bfp. Currently 28 weeks and all going well.
I did continue to run 5k but got to 16 weeks and found I got too breathless. Just doing some walking now.

Very safe, and beneficial. Keep going. Just don't push yourself past your comfort zone.
