Yes OP, I had continuous spotting for weeks, then nothing for a couple of months, then lots more dark red, much more spotting for 3 weeks, then nothing for a while, then more spotting...
It was like that for the whole pregnancy.
I also had them telling me my dates were wrong, because she was too small (my dates weren't wrong as we were actively trying ), then I was told she had a 'lemon shaped skull' so needed to have an amnio, but it was just the bloody 'angle' they'd gotten during the scan.
Then I was told although the amnio was fine, she was still not growing properly, and at 35 weeks I went for yet another weekly scan, to be told she wasn't moving enough, so I was to have an emergency c-section with in 30 mins (That was an awkward phone call to my boss as I'd just popped out for the damn scan !)
Ended up finding out my baby had 4 true knots in her umbilical cord, which were periodically cutting off her blood flow.
I'm tell you all this, because I learned the hard way to NOT listen too closely to all the 'worrying issues' because I simply couldn't stay on 'panic/anxiety' mode for the whole damn pregnancy !
Sometimes things DON'T go 'smoothly' during pregnancy, but that DOESN'T mean you won't carry to term or have a perfectly lovely little baby at the end of it all. (And all the 'worrying' in the world won't affect the end outcome in any positive way either.)
|So try to take each day as it comes, and don't read too much into your 'spotting', because it can be totally normal. Discuss with your midwife/GP as and when you need to, but really try hard to minimise your stress levels too.
( By the way, my little 3lb baby is now in their Honours year at Uni and coaches a bloody dangerous sport 4 days a week 😉, and I'm sure your 'little one' will surprise the hell out of you too ! )
