Should I get checked at the hospital or does this sound normal? 31 weeks pregnant

Hi so I'm pregnant with my 3rd baby so I should know this but it's a big age gap between this one and my last. I couldn't sleep all night because I've had what I can only describe as " period pains" very low Down in my pelvis all night, I'm not sure if they are braxton hicks because it is a constant pain just at the lower front of my tummy not on and off and coming and going like Contractions, they have eased off a little this morning but still there.
I had an episode like this a couple of weeks ago which lasted a few days then went away.
Im not sure whether I would be wasting time to go in and just get checked considering I had the same thing a few weeks ago which eventually went away after a couple of a days.
I'm also having growth scans every 2 weeks and had my recent one the wednday just gone as baby has dropped on the centile line since my last scan 2 weeks ago so I have to be rescanned again In 2 weeks as baby is growing but she said growth seems to be tailing a little.
With all this in mind should I just go in and get checked? I've read everywhere braxton hicks shouldn't be painful, but mine is like a constant pain which feels like period pain, I also have a high pain tolerance so the fact its keeping me awake shows I really am in pain with it.

Also forgot to add, baby is usually very active and is still very active so I'm not concerned about reduced movements although on wednday at my scan she did tell me to keep an eye on the movements.

I would just phone and ask. They’ll probably get you to monitor them and see if it either goes away or becomes a pattern. The fact you’ve had growth scans etc probably makes them more likely to say just come in for some checks to be safe

Is it like a pulling sensation? I had this when my placenta was detaching at 32 weeks I had an emergency c section. Ask for a scan of the placenta and don’t take no for an answer.

I assume your hospital will have a maternity assessment unit. Call them to be triaged. Mine always answers the phone and the staff are always happy to answer questions and give reassurance. Midwives seem to be very cautious and would always rather see you and tell you it's nothing than leave you worrying.

My youngest is 9, and my eldest 13 but I remember someone once saying you won't regret getting help/asking a question. It's probably nothing, but it won't hurt to get some reassurance.

Agree that you won't regret getting checked out but you might regret not.
