Pregnancy after miscarriage

Hi everyone. I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks pregnant. It’s been 3 weeks now and bleeding is getting lighter (I did expectant management). We really want to start trying again and the midwife said we didn’t have to wait for a period. I just wanted to ask a few questions for anyone that got pregnant after a miscarriage:

1. how long after the bleeding stopped did you start trying again? I don’t know when I’ll ovulate because my periods are so irregular

2. how long did the bleeding take to stop?

Has anyone had the same .. I was ovulation testing with clear blue one week after my MC. I had a solid 13 days of flashing smiley faces but yesterday it went from the flashing smiles to the circle so I am taking it I haven't peaked 😓 I am still taking the strip tests and both lines do still appear to be dark. I am just confused and a bit gutted tbh as I really thought I was in with a shot of conceiving this month but if I haven't peaked I don't think I will have. Just wondered if this had happened to anyone else. Thanks
