Hi all
I had two positive tests on my Clear Blue 6 days early test and just waiting to take a proper test on Wednesday just to confirm.

I have a lot of early pregnancy symptoms (fatigue, nausea, mood and appetite changes)

I'm also suffering with really bad hip and back aches with no paracetamol at home

Is it safe to take cocodamol?

Thanks in advance

Not unless under prescription from doctor and "under caution"

No, and don't take medication advice from strangers on the internet. That's what pharmacies are for.

I forgot to add I am prescribed both variants of cocodamol for back and shoulder pain

I realise not to take advice on internet etc but just looking for some advice tonight when I'm struggling with pain Blush

Even if everyone on this thread says yes, do not take it.
The only online advice you can trust is the NHS website. If it says "safe at all gestations" or just safe in pregnancy, you can take it. If it doesn't, don't.
Some drugs are safe in late pregnancy but not in early pregnancy, or vice versa. People might tell you a doctor told them it was safe, at their gestation and with their health records. That doesn't mean it's safe for you.
Go to a pharmacy and ask.

Cross post.
If struggling with the pain, do you have anything topical you can put on it tonight which is pregnancy safe? What about hot water bottle or bath? Massage?

So it's advised against in pregnancy because if you take it in late pregnancy it can affect the baby's breathing when they're born. Doctors will prescribe in early pregnancy for some cases. I had it prescribed for migraines in the second trimester but was told not to take it after a certain number of weeks pregnant. Can you not nip to the shop for some paracetamol?

I am 12 weeks and am prescribed 15mg codeine for slipped disc pain. The gp said fine in first and second but not third trimester due to baby having withdrawals and can affect babies breathing so you have to wean off before then
