I am due my 4th section in around 2 weeks time, I don’t know why but I feel just as nervous as if it was my first maybe more so as it’s number 4 and I know the operation can take longer. I have looked at my online notes and had no previous complications with any of my previous sections and all had minimal blood loss so all my sections have been very straight forward with no complications and it also says a plan for next pregnancy would be a repeat section so haven’t been advised against this one however I joined some section support groups and there are some scary stories on there 🤦🏼‍♀️ about risks and complications. If you have had a section please comment how long you was in theatre for and send me calm positive 4 or more section birth stories.

I’ve had 6! Some complications with a couple of them but all worked out in the end.

Hey, I'm due my 4th Csection in around 8 weeks can fully understand your nerves this csection seems so different this time around the aniexty is definitely taking over with mine. I hope all goes well for you x

@YesItsmeyetagain Oh wow 6 this is my 4th and definitely my last my partner is having a vasectomy. My last section was under 2 hours so hoping for the same, I read some women had there 4th section completed within an hour and I know the lead/head surgeon is doing mine this time so will be very very skilful.

@THISISIT23 I was hoping I would be calmer this time after having 3 but they never seem
to get easier do they! I haven’t been told about any complications just surgery length will be longer due to scar tissue. Good luck with yours, hope everything goes well.

This is only my second and I feel like I should feel more relaxed about this one but the thought of them cutting into an already existing scar is what makes me feel a bit odd and worry more about risks. I know most are absolutely fine though. One of the biggest risks for me last time was the idea that if you bleed excessively the way they get it to stop is by removing the womb. That felt really scary last time as it would mean having only one child but I feel it’s less of a risk this time as I most likely already have all the kids I want, not sure if you’d plan to have anymore but that’s helped me feel a bit better about it. The consultant on the phone was really reassuring this time and basically said they have drugs there ready for almost any eventuality

@BCxx it’s strange I feel like I should be so calm
too but the nerves keep getting the better of me. My last section was my best one with the lowest blood loss and no complications at all so hoping for the same again 🤞🏻. I definitely don’t want any anymore children after this one and I know I am
having the lead/head surgeon operating on me so I will be under the most skilful doctor they have.

@AquaMarie - how did it go?? I've just found out I'm pregnant with number 4 after 3 previous sections. I'm really scared. Hoping you had a great outcome and all went well? Xx
