Brown then pink spotting

Sorry for the TMI but I had brown spotting yesterday which has turned very light pink when I go to the loo. I have a synchronic haemorrhage with my first pregnancy but I had an early scan last week and couldn’t find any evidence of one with this one. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant. Is this common? Should I be freaking out like I am? 😭

Sorry you are going through this, it could go either way to be honest. I've had 2 MC that have started this way and then in my last pregnancy, I had bleeding like this when I was 11 weeks, which turned to bright red bleeding and she is 6.5mo now.
Each time I called the EPAU and they scanned me the same day.
Hoping for a positive outcome for you.

@Psmama22 hey Hun, may I ask what the outcome was? I have the same today but am 14 weeks and panicking

@Ttcmumma hi so sorry to hear you’re going through this! I had a scan and they could see the area of the bleed but it was outside of the sack so they weren’t worried! By the next scan (2 weeks later) it had cleared itself up. Can you call your hospital for some advice? I read that in the second trimester it can be quite common to spot due to increased blood flow and cervix aggravation. I hope you get reassurance soon

@Psmama22 thank you! And no problem. So glad to hear all was fine with you. I couldn't deal with the anxiety so had a private scan this morning lol. All looks fine! Spotting stopped, baby is fine, no sign of blood anywhere. They think potentially just irritation/increased blood flow x

@Ttcmumma delighted to hear it!!
