Wanting to see my Placenta

I’m expecting my second baby in December. for my first I had an elective c section ( baby was breech), at the time, he was whipped out and I was stitched up. This time ( I will probably have another section) I am a little more curious and would like to see my placenta, I’m interested to see what it looks like but I’m worried everyone might think it’s a bit odd, and how will I feel seeing it etc? Does this sound unreasonable, my husband thinks it’s a bit grim 🤣

Midwife asked me if I wanted to see my placenta. I said yes and found it fascinating! It's huge.

I'm sure I read that you can put it in a frying pan and eat it like that, has anyone done that?

I saw and kept both of mine - the doula then took them away and baked and encapsulated them. A few days later I had a small jar of my placenta pills which helped very much in the first 6 months or so with my moods, breastfeeding and reducing bloating. I remember thinking the placenta was so much bigger than I imagined, and really does look like a tree. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want to see it at all, after all you made it!
