Anterior placenta

I’m just wondering if anyone’s the same as it never really got explained to me

I’m 25 weeks I have an anterior placenta and some days I can feel movement and other days I can’t I’ve been in twice due to reduced movement and both times they’ve listened to her heartbeat and she’s been absolutely fine but it makes me so worried when I can’t feel her

I’m just wondering if anyone else experiences the same with an anterior placenta?

I had an anterior placenta in 2 of my 3 pregnancies. In both of those I felt movements later and had more occurrences of reduced movements until about 28 weeks. It basically means the placenta is at the front, so it cushions the kicks from the baby and you don’t feel them as strongly. As they get bigger it becomes less of a problem though, but at 25 weeks they’re still quite small.

I had this during first pregnancy.I was in so much with reduce movement episode through the pregnancy it was really awful & stressful. Was induced 37+6.Currently early pregnant & hoping I don’t have the same assuming pregnancy is viable.Friend also had the same and was in a lot with reduce movement episodes. It’s stressful.

I had this in my first pregnancy. I didn't really feel any movement until around 22 weeks and couldn't identify a pattern until much closer to 30 weeks, such a worry. You're doing the right thing by going in, it's always best to check. As baby gets bigger it should hopefully be less of a barrier for you feeling movement x

I’m 29 weeks and have an anterior placenta. I’ve been in twice already with reduced movements - my midwife said it’s really common with anterior placenta. However, certainly in the past week or so his movements are getting stronger and more reassuring, so even on the days I feel him less I still feel him if that makes sense!

I had this in my first pregnancy and went in for reduced movements on a number of occasions but all was fine. Even up until about 35 weeks there were days when I could barely feel him move so off to the hospital we went. It's best to be checked if you're ever unsure. Just in case.
