Is it true if baby heartbeat is < 140 it's boy else girl?

I know heartbeat keeps varying from time to time, so which gestation they actually say based on?
Was it true for anyone?

Generally girls are faster. Wasn’t true for DS who had a faster heartbeat. Appeared true for my DD.
Other theories that seemed to work for me was boys heartbeat sounds like a train, a girls more like galloping horses. I also had more morning sickness with DD and my skin was worse etc.
TBH though the only theory I believe had any potential real truth and was not just coincidence was the nub theory.

It’s utter nonsense. At the beginning of pregnancy the heart rate is faster, and it tends to slow down as the nervous system develops. The majority of babies will have a heart rate above 140bpm at 16 weeks.

I had boy and girl twins - heart rates we're generally the same 😂

What was true however was about the galloping horses vs train sound - they did sound very different

When we first heart heartbeat at 16 weeks I thought it sounded like a horse and DH thought train, it's was 145. Anyway, he's a boy and now 26 weeks cooked. I really don't think there's anything true to it all.

TeaKitten · 22/07/2023 07:45
