Hyperthyroidism

Hi everyone,
I am now 22+2 weeks into my pregnancy and have only heard from the GP a couple days ago following a blood test to determine my blood results are showing hyperthyroidism.
they said they are going to refer me to an endocrinologist, however didn’t say whether this would be an urgent referral or just a standard one. I am so worried (I know I shouldn’t google) but I’ve heard that hyperthyroidism can cause complications during pregnancy. I have had a previous baby who was low birth weight and as a result I am on consultant led care anyway. The GP hasn’t gave me any medication in the meantime to control my thyroid levels and every professional I speak to has no idea on referral wait times. I am worried if it takes weeks. I have already consulted my midwife about my blood results and she has referred me for a separate consultant appointment (when this is I don’t know) I would like to ask for any advice on this and previous experiences

thank you

ptu or carbimazole is used, but the lowest amount possible.

on Monday, ring the hospital and ask to speak to antenatal clinic. When you get through antenatal clinic will give you an appointment. Explain you are consultant led.
