Gallbladder stones and pregnancy

Hello,

I don't often post but I'm really desperate for some reassurance.

Two months ago I had severe pain and I was taken to hospital by ambulance and it turned out to be pancreatitis due to gallbladder stones

I was discharged after 5 days, and I was scheduled for gallbladder removal surgery sometime in the summer, however I fell pregnant, so I booked an appointment with the consultant to see what this means in regards to the surgery. I had what I would call a very unpleasant consultation ( I came out crying and was in pieces) the consultant first said to me, I am going to do your surgery in august what's your question?
I said I'm pregnant (which I've told his secretary more than once)

He seemed a bit angry I'm not finding other words for it but he said you knew about the surgery right? I said yes and he said was this a planned pregnancy?

At this point I felt.... on the spot so I went on to tell him that I have PCOS and to conceive my first it took me years I also thought I was way past my ovulation and I didn't really know that a pregnancy would be very dangerous in my case I was never told at the hospital when I had the pancreatitis

He then tells me that I'm looking at two scenarios, I have the surgery now (I'm about 5 weeks) and there are huge risks on baby due to pressure during the pregnancy and medication, the second scenario is I don't have the surgery and fingers crossed I don't get pancreatitis but if I do get pancreatitis I may lose the baby, I asked him what I can do to avoid the pancreatitis and he says: nothing, it can happen at any moment, you may reduce spicy and fatty food but there is really no way of preventing

I then really wanted to leave as I couldn't hold my tears and he was saying I need to contact gynae because he doesn't know anything about pregnancies and he asked me if I have any friend gynaecologist who may advice me.

I left his office and went to the gp and booked an urgent appointment, the gp referred me to a different surgeon and he told me that he would be of the opinion that if I have no pain then no operating until baby is born, anyway I'm looking to see if there is anyone who went through something similar and can tell me there are solutions even if the pain does come back and they have to remove the gallbladder. Sorry for the long post
