Hi,

I had surgical management of a mmc last week at 11 weeks pregnant and i’m trying my best to keep looking forward. I just wondered if you’d also experienced a mmc-

1- what method of management did you opt for?

2- do you remember how long it took to test negative on a pregnancy test again?
3- how long was it before you conceived again? (Assuming you kept trying).

thanks
xxx

I had a MMC in 2015. I had a slight brown discharge the day before we had our 12 week scan.

At the scan we found out that the sac and yolk hadn't formed correctly. I choose to let nature take its course regarding aftercare.

It was about 6 weeks until I had a negative test and got my period back.

It took us 1 year to conceive again.

We have a 6 year old and a 15 month old.

Keep strong & keep the faith 🙏🏻

So sorry for your loss, sending you love and strength Daffodil.

I had a MMC in June 2022 at 11 weeks, baby's heart had stopped around 8 weeks 4 days. No symptoms at all, was still struggling with morning sickness but just had a feeling something wasn't right so booked a private scan.

  1. I had surgical management at what would have been 12 weeks.
  1. Took 3 weeks to test negative.
  1. Got a positive pregnancy test in November 2022 (so 5 months later), currently 38+4 weeks and booked in for a section next week if labour doesn't happen before then!

Luckily I've had no issues so far in this pregnancy, touch wood.

Xx

so sorry for your loss 💐

I had a mmc (baby measured 8.5 weeks) in September 2019 and one in feb 2020 (baby measured 7.5 weeks).

I had medical management both times.

2-3 weeks to get a negative preg test.

I was due to get recurrent miscarriage testing but covid happened. I got pregnant again in may 2020 and now have DD. With that pregnancy I took 150 mg aspirin and do think it made the difference for me. I was 39/40 though so mc were not unlikely so I can’t be sure if it was the aspirin or just luck.
