Can't eat morning sickness - worried about starving

Hi I'm 6 weeks pregnant and have the worst morning sickness ever except its literally lasting all day and I can't get out of bed.

The thought of any food is making me sick and I'm worried I won't be able to get critical nutrients to the baby or could even end up making myself more sick if I can't eat

Is it bad to eat non-nutrious foods if that's all I can manage or will I be doing more bad than good??

Absolutely broken from it all

I had HG with both pregnancies, I sympathise. Eat what ever doesn't make you feel sick. I had just salt and vinegar crisps, dry sponge cake and luzacade for months.

I had HG with my second pregnancy. I could only tolerate salty food and lived off bacon sandwiches and crisps for the first semester. Baby was nearly 9 pounds 🙂

I had it bad with my first could hardly eat or drink anything. Remember going for my 20 weeks scan and they want you to drink loads before you go and I was just drinking water but it wouldn't stay down. Try eating small amount little but often and maybe really high calorie foods. It should get better

All I could stomach during my first trimester with DS was McDonald's egg mcmuffin and hash browns. He's strong as an ox.

I could only just about hold down flapjacks - I’m amazed she didn’t come out looking like one. I would take tiny bites of it used to take me hours to eat one. And drink coke.
i also couldn’t brush my teeth very well without wanting to gag or throw up.

Try not to worry, but do go to the doctors and get prescribed medication or checked over. I panicked a lot with my first pregnancy but second time around (same level of sickness) as soon as it started requested medication.

I remember my GP the first time around telling me the baby was like a parasite - the body will just provide what it needs.

pregnancy sickness support

The really import any thing isn't stay hydrated. I did this by disrobing ice cubes in my mouth at times, and sometimes ice lolly.

I lost weight in the first three months with my twins and so did my dsis with her dc.
I was worried but my doctor said dc are parasites and will take what they need.
I eventually stopped feeling sick and dc were a good weight when born.
