Does my sleep position affect baby positioning?

Hi!
I'm 33 weeks, the last few appts I've had I've been told my baby is lying to the left. 'LOA' on my badger notes. Also lying with head v low in pelvis which is a bit hard going at times.

I wonder does my sleep position affect things?
I followed advice to side-sleep on my left where possible. I do wake up on my back sometimes rather contortedly but when hip gets sore (PGP not helping) I try my right side but omg the bigger he gets I feel like he is resisting my moving to this position!
He starts wriggling and its as though I feel his feet practically scrabble about on the mattress! My right side of tummy tends to be tender with all the kicking on one side.
Eventually I give up, feeling almost nauseous and go back on my left. He hiccups for a while then settles.

I've been told there's plenty time for him to move into position but this makes me wonder! Anyone had similar experience??

Mine was so similar, I'd tell my husband its like he's trying to walk on the mattress from inside! He was head down since 27 weeks at least and on his side, so was hoping he'd go OA like they prefer for birth but judging by the last week or two movements he's gone back to back! And I feel his head isn't as engaged either with changes in sensation there. I haven't changed anything so I think they go where they want tbh, though I'm trying to sit forward alot if I am sitting, walk alot.andnsleep mostly on my left side, so hard on the hip though!

Forgot to say he moved last week or so and I'm now 39+5 so really wishing he wasn't back to back 😅

Sleep however is the least uncomfortable. I made myself so uncomfortable (also with pgp) in my first pregnancy trying to get dd in the right position for birth, and it still all went wrong at the birth ending in emcs.

I never let myself just rest leaning back on the sofa, I was doing star jumps in the pool right up to two days before birth, only sat on the pregnancy ball, and I partly blame NCT classes for emphasising so much about getting the baby in the right position. In reality you don't have much control over how the birth will go. If complications will happen, they'll happen. So just be as comfortable as you can!

Now I'm pg again and not even going to inflate the bloody pregnancy ball. I'm lounging about, every spare moment I can. Just wish someone had told me to do this in my last pregnancy

@Imisscoffee2021 thanks for replying! Ok it is what it is I guess:)
Reassuring to know not the only one feeling like their trying to walk on the mattress!! The sonographer's assistant looked at me like I was a bit mad the other day!
I hope everything goes well for you OA or back to backFlowers xx

@Mummy08m thanks so much for sharing!
Gosh that must have been tough after trying to maintain all the different techniques.
It is full on trying to suss out all those extra supposedly beneficial things and have energy to do or keep to them.
My pal was on about cleaning the floor on hands and knees Hmm I don't think so somehow...
I think I'll happily take your advice on being comfortable and the rascals position will be what it will be!
Hope it all goes well for you Flowersxx

Have you had a look at the spinning babies website? To be honest though I enjoyed some of the positions like being on hands and knees, it felt good for my body at the time so I was happy to do it. I was also hanging upside down off sofas trying to turn a breech baby so you’d be amazed at the acrobatics that are possible! Whether you’d want to us another matter lol.

@Beginningless thank you! I'll take a look Smile👍xx

I may have misunderstood your post but if head is down in the pelvis, does it matter of they're on the left or right? 🤔
