NT measurement is high

I had my dating scan yesterday and I was 13+0 weeks. My NT measurement came back as 2.7mm and though the nurse scanning me didn’t seem too concerned, I stupidly took to google and now I have horrendous anxiety that 2.7 is too high. I’ve read some places that over 2.5 is a concern for chromosome issues. I had bloods yesterday and was told to wait 2 weeks for results but I am already going out my mind with worry. Anyone had similar experiences? x

I can't remember the measurement of mine, but it was 2. something. Nobody mentioned it being high at the time but I googled it a lot when I got home. The few things I picked up on is 1- they would have had to say something if it was even 0.1 into measuring over the 'safe' zone, and 2- the NT does grow the further along your are (until baby gets too big), but at 13 weeks it'll be bigger than someone having their 12 week scan at 11 weeks and these things are worked from averages. I was 13 weeks when I had mine done too.
My result came back as 1 in 250 for Downs though, and 1 in 10,000 for the others, my midwife just said 'great! everything is low risk' and never mentioned it again. I know 1 in 250 seems like rubbish odds compared to other people's, but I'm 36 and everything on the anomally scan seemed fine. 26 weeks now and don't give it much thought any more.

In the UK anything below 3.5mm is considered normal.

Mine was 3.2 at my 12 week scan but when combined with blood results everything came back low risk.

Mine was 2.7 and everything was fine. I think 3.5 and above is considered potentially risky. I did google it like mad at the time. I'm sure everything will be fine. You can always have the NIPT test if you want extra reassurance. But maybe wait for your combined screening result first and see how you feel.
