Should I phone EPU? First pregnancy

Hi,
This is my first post and first pregnancy. I'm 7+4, found out early at 4 weeks. I've had very slight spotting noticed occasionally over the last 3 weeks. Yesterday, I got some brown spotting, followed by some pink (slightly more than what's been noticed previously.) This morning, I had what felt like period pain when I woke up, and there is a very small amount of brown discharge. I have my booking appointment next week. I've no idea what to do - phone EPU? Wait it out over the weekend and wait and see?
I know there's nothing I can do, just feeling very panicky.
Thank you everyone if you've read this far.

Hi @Pollypocket14 - I had my DC quite a few years ago but, thinking back, I'm sure brown is much better than bright red (it's old blood rather than "new" blood). Also, around this stage, I'm sure you may experience implantation bleeding. Also, I used to get awful pains in the uterus area as the area stretches.

I think if you are very concerned still, I would just phone EPU for advice. Good luck 🙂

@Pollypocket14 if you're worried it's always best to phone the EPU. They are there to help and support you, even if it's just giving advice over the phone. Never feel that you have to sit at home worrying. x

Hello OP, I had this at 8 and 10 weeks with my baby boy and I phoned EPU and they gave me early scans both times. I would phone if you are concerned. Hope all is okFlowers

Also my scans were last October so i can remember quite clearly they said brown blood indicates old blood red is fresh, they also said i had blood and fluid inside which was obviously what was leaking out so maybe you are experiencing something similar.

I rang the EPU today with similar bleeding. I'm 5+4. They were helpful - generally reassuring but they gave me advice about what to do, who to contact if it got worse, what warning signs mean a trip to A&E is needed, and they told me to ring in two days for an update if things are better than or the same as now. You are further along so their advice may be different, but what I'm trying to say is that they seemed to want to know about bleeding and I'm glad I did call.
