Hiccups in womb lead to reflux issues?

My baby constantly hiccups in the womb (I would say at least 4 episodes a day)
did anyone have this and go on to have issues with feeding / reflux? I am just curious if this is something I should be specifically prepared for / research on!
thank you x

Could be coincidence but yes.. my DD2 hiccuped all the time in the womb (at first it was cute but it became so annoying and uncomfortable in the end because it was so often) and she did have reflux as a newborn. She also hiccuped a lot outside of the womb to! She's 2 now though and stopped (although saying that she did have hiccups today in the car Blush)

My dd hiccuped a lot in the womb and doesn't have reflux, still gets hiccups a lot though!

I doubt very much it’s related, but my little one had hiccups at least twice a day in the womb and since 3 weeks old does have quite bad reflux. He had undiagnosed tongue tie causing a shallow latch with breastfeeding though, not picked up because he gained so much weight! Hoping he grows out of the reflux as his digestive system matures, he is now 15 week

I did read that there was a correlation but don’t know how true that is.
I did have a hiccuppy and refluxy baby. But that’s not to the same as saying the the hiccups caused the reflux.

In any case, don’t stress OP. There’s not very much you can do about reflux, so try not to worry before you have to.

Was only true for me in the case of one out of my 3 pregnancies.
