Bad fall at 32 weeks

Just want some reassurance please ladies.
Last night walking home with my dh I did some quite spetacular acrobatics.
Triped on the pavement and fell front first. Knees bruised and skint as are hands so think they got the worst of it, but the bump def hit the ground - just not that hard I don't think. Haven't fallen like that since I was a child.
Thankfully I was almost right outside my house so straight to be. No sore tummy or scrapes on it, just in terrible shock - shivering etc.
Called midwife who said if he is moving as normal(which he is) then not to worry and just take it easy.
But you know what it's like - am now worried sick that I've really damaged him.
Feeling fine - just drained from the fright and worry.
Just wondered if this type of thing has happened to anyone else and if your babies were OK?
Midwife said I'd need to take a serious blow to the tum for it to do any real harm but still feel panicky.
Any thoughts?
x

I had a hell of a fall at about 33 weeks. Tripped up a kern, bounced offa wall and fell heavily on hands & knees.
DS is 2 1/4, full of mischief. Try to take it easy for a couple of days.

if it were me i'd pop to the maternity unit just for reassurance

but - if it helps - a friedn of mine fell so badly when pg that she managed to break her toddler's leg (she was carrying him downstairs at the time) but her twins - in-utero - were fine

i fell when i was pg with ds, was about 7 months at the time, slipped on some wet, stone steps and fell bump first. both i and he were fine, i was just a bit winded.

they are quite well protected in there, firstly the amniotic fluid acts as a shock absorber, plus the uterus itself it pretty tough

I fell on the pavement with DS1 at 40wks, and he came the next day - absolutely fine.

Babies are very well protected in there, and at 32 wks there should be masses of amniotic fluid to cushion them But maybe pop in and let a midwife listen to the heartbeat, just to put your mind at rest.

Take it easy

I fell out of my back door at 36 weeks and landed on a heap in my patio. I felt fine, but over cautious DH took me to the maternity unit. I was kept in for observation - and this is not to worry you - because the MW told me that after a fall they treat you as if you were in any other sort of accident. I was kept on a fetal monitor for 20 mins every 4 hours but other than being very hot and bored was fine.
Just to put your mind at rest give your MW a ring and see what she suggests.

Thanks guys. Midwife said I could go in for monitoring if I wanted but that she thought there was no need. DH on the other hand is coming home early today with the sole intention of taking me in for a scan - think he's even more worried than me!
I'm seeing midwife on Tuesday anyway so maybe I should wait till then for the heartbeat? He is clearly moving around so hoping that is the 'clear indicator's midwife says it is.
