Also even if it’s a cord it doesn’t mean there’s no penis. Think you probably have to just accept it’s a surprise unless you have more scans coming up.

i Get that my scan are not very clear but that is all I have…what made me curious is that if it’s a girl then I shouldn’t see anything between the legs

My kids are quite old now. I'm always surprised at how unclear some of the scans are these days. There was no doubt at all with mine and I've had a few. It's almost like the quality has gone backwards, though I'm sure it hasn't. You'd think the technology would just have advanced.

That’s not always the case though due to swelling, and it can also obviously be the cord. Sonographers look at the lines present not just penis or no penis so unfortunately it’s more complicated.

Not necessarily. Depends on the angle and gestational age. Girls are quite obvious in their own way. It's not just an absence of anything. There are definite markers.

Well in my case there is no absence of anything…maybe is the angle is off or swollen genitalia

It’s something like 2 lines for girl, 3 for boys. But the pics are too blurry to see any lines unfortunately.

If it was what you think and twisty, it's just image distortion.

I would let go of it as far as these images. They tell you nothing.

This is three vessel cord in the ultra sound and I can see how hollow it is so still leaning more towards a penis than a cord

You'll just have to be patient and find out in a few weeks. :-) Let us know.
