Help with pelvic ligament pain

My daughter is 21 wks pregnant and is suffering a lot with pelvic ligament pain in her lower left side. Mostly is is starting in the early hours of the morning and can last for a couple of hours. She is beside herself and crying with it. Nothing seems to relieve it. It comes and goes in spasms.
She had it about 15 mins after her 20 wk scan and was seen in the antenatal assessment clinic straight away.
She has a physio appointment but it’s not for another 12 days.

Any suggestion of what she can do to relieve this?

I find with my PGP that gently cradling my bump helps relieve pressure / pain. I really feel for your daughter as it's a horrid unpredictable pain 💖 maybe get in touch with physio to see if they can see her earlier.

When I saw the physio they gave me a tubi then at second appt a bump band and a crutch along with exercises. I found sitting in a gym ball helped too although I'm not allowed to do that now due to other pg related things 🤦‍♀️. I'm also very mindful of how many times I go up and downstairs, take my time when walking and rest / stop when it starts to increase. Pre pregnancy I didn't like taking painkillers but have learned to take it as there is no medal or badge of honour for struggling on ❤️

She’s got a bump band and is using it when walking about. She has to walk though as she has a dog who needs to go out (her partner does do the dog walking as much as he can around his work).
She tried to get the physio appt earlier, but they couldn’t move it forwards.
She’s been reading up on it and some people seem to have it for a short time and others right til the baby is born - just a lottery really.
Thanks @mrsmacmc hope your pregnancy progresses well.
