37 weeks pregnant summer heat - reassurance needed

Hi all looking for some reassurance more than anything. Currently 37 weeks pregnant and we seem to have some really hot weather right now. I can keep cool during the day with a fan and keeping blinds shut but the issue is overnight. Bedroom temperature is very hot despite having windows open and I didn't bring our large fan upstairs as I thought it would be cool enough with open window.

Was feeling very warm overnight last night and now starting to worry that it's somehow caused harm to the baby as there are loads of scary things online about heat causing issues with unborn babies. I have felt the baby move today but obviously just worried and probably overthinking it.

Plan for tonight will be to bring the fan up to our bedroom and just have it blowing on me all night.

Your baby will be fine, pregnant people exist all over the world in 45+ degrees.
I was pregnant last summer so I feel your pain, I gave birth during the heatwave. As many fans as you can find blasted directly at you. Cold showers. Just got to ride it out.

Please don't worry. Many many people in the world are pregnant in far higher heat. Stay as hydrated as you can.

Please don't worry, your baby will be totally fine. I have been pregnant 3 times over hot summers, including last summer where it got to 40. The main risk is you getting dehydrated or feeling a bit faint. Lots of water and keep as cool as you can but try not to worry bubba will be totally fine Smile

It’s uncomfortable but absolutely no reason to worry. Your body is amazing at regulating temperature to protect your baby. Running cold water on your wrists is another quick cooler as you go about your day.

Baby will be absolutely fine. Remember that women are pregnant in tropical countries. It would take a lot more than a heatwave to heat up your actual internal body temperature.

Take your fan up to bed though! You should try get as much sleep and rest as you can which I know is difficult anyways at 37 weeks with or without a heatwave!

Please try not to worry, I'm sure baby is fine 😊
I was heavily pregnant during the heatwave last year (baby born in August), and I now have a perfectly healthy, thriving 10 month old 😊
