It was just what I felt like (am just under 8 weeks pregnant) but didn't think of fact that it's on a list of foods not to eat. The white bit was hard, but the yolk was runny and delicious. It was a good quality, organic egg though - do you think it'll be ok?

Think you'll be fine. I did the same thing a few weeks ago and worried too. I have also scoffed pate before I found out I wasn,t supposed to and a home made chocolate mouse which I later discovered contained raw egg white. Ignorance is bliss but I,m trying to be a bit more careful now I supposedly know better. (ha!) x

I LOVE boiled egg and soldiers, with the yolk slightly runny.
I felt guilty about eating them for a while in early pg but I know I have a good brand of eggs, and I keep them in the fridge.
Eggs have never made me ill in the past, and I would think if I had got food poisoning from them, or the baby had, we'd both show symtoms pretty sharpish.
I dont suppose its possible for baby to get listeria/poisoning/samonella etc without mum knowing about it and suffering too. So I would say if you are not ill, you are very safe. Please correct me mumsnet if you think I am wrong on this.

You will be fine. AFAIK

I ate runny eggs all the way through both pregnancies. chickens in this country are vaccinated.

In 50 years time, all this pap will be likened to our granny's firm injunctions not to wash our hair while we have our periods
