Pregnancy week by week book - recommendations?

I would like to get one of those week by week type books that guide you through what's happening in each week of pregnancy.

The bookshop had none. Amazon however has loads! Unfortunatley I can't browse the Amazon ones and don't want to buy one that's no good, so does anyone have a recommendation?

Only stipulation is that it is UK based and not a US one or a US one 'translated' to a UK based one (I'm sure you know the kind of thing I mean).

If you hadn't added your last sentence, I would have suggested 'What to Expect....' In fact, I think I still will - it's really good and detailed. And the baby doesn't realize she's not American, does she!

I've got this book, it's day by day rather than week by week, but have found it really interesting the whole way through. It's a British one too!

Oh, if you can't browse amazon, it's called 'your pregnancy day by day' by professor Stuart Campbell. ISBN 1-904760-05-8

I picked this up in the works at the beginning of my pregnancy, since then have got quite a few more but this one has ended up being my favourite.

I can't recommend more highly Your Pregnancy Week by Week by Professor Lesley Regan - she is this country's foremost expert on miscarriage and an obs and gynae specialist and i find it fantastic - gives you realistic and reassuring information plus loads of great photos and is great on the biology behind all the changes you and your baby are going through.
Blimey reading that back it sounds like i work for her PR firm - i don't honest but it is a great book! xx

I second Mum2Scrap! Great book!

I know its not a book, but babycentre.co.uk is great for week by week information.

SunCream32 · 20/02/2008 19:24

I third Mum2Scrap I, too, found it really helpful. Hope you find a book that suits you very soon!

I got Rough guide to pregnancy by Kaz cooke, as its my second(though big gap) i felt I did not need one of those medical type journal thingys.....its really funny but has all the same stuff in as the other ones, but has no naked pictures of pregnanct women with 70's style hairdos and clothing.
