Suspected blood clot - CT scan

I'm currently pregnant and have had a high heart rate for the last few weeks and have also been feeling breathless/ having chest pains and tightness. My chest X ray was clear so then got sent for VQ scan. Now the VQ scan has come back undeterminable so advised to have CT scan, but starting to get concerned of risks/exposure to baby. Has anyone else been in a similar situation/ have any advice? Thanks

My DSD was, she was 'indeterminate' and was put on Clexane injections as a precaution while the tests were all ongoing. Eventually told it was anxiety.

As she said at the time, 'Anxiety?! It's all these bloody tests causing it.'

I hope someone can address your specific concerns about radiation exposure, as I honestly don't know.

There's some similar threads if you search that you mind helpful and reassuring.
I know you don't want to take any risks but ultimately having the ct scan is less risky than the alternative. How far along are you?
I'm sorry you're having to go through this, I don't think they would do it if the risk outweighed the benefit. Have you got a date for your scan and can you speak to anyone in advance about your concerns?

I've seen threads about the VQ scan but not CT, will keep looking. Can't help but feel I'm exposing baby to twice as much risk now that I need yet another scan. Only 16 weeks, so hopefully less risk as it's earlier. All I've really been told is that risk outweighs benefit, but still a bit of a worry.

Sorry I meant the benefits outweigh the risks!
