To plan to go to Tenerife when baby will be 7.5 weeks old

Hello
I have 2 older kids at school and their school holidays are in October. Baby is due in early August. DH and I hoping to go to Tenerife or Gran Canaria for the week in October. I'm getting a c section 7.5 weeks earlier. I have had 2 sections previously and can't remember the recovery time.

Is it crazy to think that baby and I will be fine to travel at that point? I have totally forgotten what having a newborn is like and whether this is doable or ridiculous. I read that it's easier when they are newborns rather than 6 months old.

Thanks

The weather is also good in Dec and Feb - one of those might be safer.

I think physically you will be fine walking wise etc, I was pretty much fine (just some tenderness in that area) after about 4/5 weeks. The only downside is you might still be bleeding as mine stopped and then started again. Taking the baby away at that age will be fine I think. We are going not long after and due the same time as you. My theory is I’d rather go while baby is little, sleeps a lot, doesn’t eat food and need stuff blended etc so in a way just nappies and bottles will be more straightforward. If you’re breastfeeding obviously you don’t need to think about it but if you’re bottle feeding it’s just an extra thing to try to organise to make sure you can make formula up on the plane but I just took an empty flask through security last time and got Starbucks to fill it up with boiling water then had some bottles already filled with pre cooled boiled water to make up my bottles on the plane, just never use the boiling water on a plane it’s meant to be the dirtiest you can get
