unpasteurised dairy product?

I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and my mother-in-law has brought me some home-made delicacy dairy product from our home country (which I really love) but have no way of finding out whether it has been made with pasteurised or unpasteurised milk. This is something she has bought herself from traditional bazaars and therefore there is no label or information on the package. We have used the same product for years and there has never been a problem but also I have never been pregnant before :)

It's a dry product that we mix with water and boil to make soups. So, I was wondering if the original milk in the product was unpasteurised, would boiling and cooking make it safe to eat?

I tried to look online but couldn't find any straightforward answer. Any ideas?

I think if it's a dried product AND you'll be heating it up anyway then it should be fine.

If you read the NHS guidelines they say unpasteurized hard cheese is fine since it's a 'drier' product and Listeria is more likely to grow in more moist, softer cheeses.

In your shoes based on that, I would have it, however we all have our own level of risk that we're happy with, so ultimately it's up to you.
