So I know im early asking this but my midwife even asked me the same question .

This is my 3rd pregnancy

My first baby I had home birth with no pain relief or anything , would love to do it again 😀

2nd baby I had to have an emergency c section due to water breaking and not contracting and lost a litre of blood so had her at 36+4

But cause I had a c section before would I need another one? Or can I have a normally delivery this time round.?

Has anyone else experienced this 🤍

No have a look at VBACs (vaginal birth after caesarian) or HBAC (home birth after caesarian. If you do want to go down the home birth route, look up 'home birth support group uk' on Facebook. There is a wealth of info on there and stories of lots of women who've had HBACs. Congrats on your pregnancy ❤️

Ah thank you so much , I'm worried about c section again cause of school runs and not sure how long the recovery is after you have another one 🩷🩷

Have they mentioned VBAC (vaginal birth after c'section)? Might be something to research as to risks and benefits

The midwife said it was my choice , but I've got a cyst atm and hoping it reduces in size

So 3 weeks ago it was 9cm now it's 7cm
But I won't know now till my 12 week scan in 3 weeks xx

That's totally fair enough to be worried about the recovery, especially when you have 2 kids to think about! Also you've already had a homebirth so you know what to expect for another. You can hire birth pools for your house too if your community midwives don't provide one.

If it helps too I had a cyst in my pregnancy and it had disappeared by my 12 week scan xx

I'll look into that one closer to the time , oh really how big was yours when you found out? I'm hoping mine has disappeared or gone down in size . It's affecting me so much especially in my sleep xx

VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean) is definitely a thing! Depending where you live, you might find it difficult to get the NHS to agree to having a homebirth, due to having had a caesarean for your last birth, but it's actually your right to choose whether you'd prefer to stay at home or go into hospital. The organisation birthrights.org.uk can provide information about your rights.

Re blood loss, a 1 litre blood loss after a caesarean isn't that unusual. You might like to know (if you don't already!) that by the end of pregnancy women have roughly 1.5 litres more blood than they did before they were pregnant. In the UK, blood loss of up to 500ml after a vaginal birth is considered "normal", but in other parts of Europe up to 1 litre is considered "normal". Following a caesarean up to a litre is usual.

It was a fair size, I can't remember now but I want to say 12cm?? I scared myself looking on Google but in the end didn't need to worry as it went on it's own x

Ah ok , my one is keeping baby alive , so they don't want to remove it if it hasn't gone down or anything 3 weeks to find out xx
