Twin babies growth slowed down after 35 Weeks

Hi, has anyone noticed a similar issue for their twin babies. My twins are currently on 4 centile and 10 centile as per fetal weight calculations. Dr has preponed c section ( at 36 weeks 4 days) I am okay with that, however I am worried about babies health after they are born.
Please can anyone share their own story? Thank you.

Sorry I can’t offer any advice on twins, I’m sure someone will be able to comment soon. I can briefly mention about having a baby early (a singeton baby).

My baby had to arrive by emergency csection at 35+0 and he was fine. He had to stay in scbu (special care baby unit) for 12 days to help with temperature, weight and feeding. His glucose level was low but special formula helped him improve after a day or two. Also I had steroid injections to help his lungs (precautionary) about 15 and 27hrs before he was born. With yours being twins they (likely?) might need time on scbu for their weight and size but they are usually really well cared for there.

Hope it all goes well for you, and good luck with the birth.

I had to have my baby early for a different reason. So im not really being helpful, I just wanted to say how good scbu are at caring for babies that arrive early and/or for low birth weight.

Same for our twins growth slows because there's no room. Had a normal birth at 37 weeks they decided to come and now 2 chubby 1 yr olds 🤣

I would be keen to have the injection to develop their lungs, which they do for all babies they feel might come early in your situation. I suspect you will have already had that. It is great that you’ve got to 35 weeks and your doctor feels you can safely go to 36 weeks and 4 days.

I haven’t had twins but one of our children came at 37 weeks because my “waters” popped and I got a small leak which triggered labour. Even though he was officially full term, he looked premature so they treated him like he was a premature baby and he need a little help with jaundice etc.
