Food aversions...will they go away?

I'm 10w with my second and have extreme food aversions as well as smell aversions. Even the smell of my own house makes me feel sick.

I'm living off toast with jam, strawberries, and apples. That is all I can eat.

Please tell me this will get better? I went off meat when pregnant with my first but it got better by this stage and my appetite wasn't as limited. I'm scared I'll never enjoy food again!!
It is a shame as I've been invited to dinner with friends and I'm having to say no, I don't want this to be forever. DM had aversions to sausage and butter when she was pregnant with me and has never been able to eat them since.

I don't know if anyone believes in wives tales but I am convinced this baby is a boy based on the extremity of the aversions.

Please tell me most people had a normal appetite again at 12w - 16w!

My eldest is 9 and I still can't eat a chicken Kiev.

I’m nearly 12 weeks and my food aversions are still going strong! I will really fancy something and then realise I actually cannot stand it anymore 😆 toast is my favourite thing currently and weirdly enough granny smith apples! I do have horrendous acid which is putting me off food as I feel sick a lot. The smell of bleach is vile to me as well as is a cup of tea and chocolate (two of my favourite things previously!)

I hated tea and chocolate too in first tri, but then ADORED them later in second! Started with minimal milk in my tea though.

@SpringTime2023 oh really! I hope I do start liking them again as I still have bags of mini eggs that I haven’t been able to touch!
