Faintish line at 12 weeks

I found out I was pregnant a while ago and know roughly how far along I am because there was only one instance in which I could possibly have conceived and I know when it was (MAP fail). I don't want to go ahead but a combination of full time work, busy home life, fear and burying head in the sand means I've only just come to request a call back from MSI. So I took a pregnancy test just in case, same cheap brand I used (multiple times) to begin with and the line actually looks fainter than they did several weeks ago. The sickness is actually beginning to taper off as well. No bleeding or cramping but could I have miscarried hence the faint line and disappearing symptoms? Does anyone have a similar experience?

No, it's just the hook effect

I thought that was a bit of a myth tbh

Hook effect isn't a myth, happened to me! Your hormones are just too high for the test to read. Pregnancy symptoms tend to get much milder around 12 weeks as the placenta takes over. Are you sure you don't want to go ahead? 12 weeks seems like a long time to bury your head in the sand.. do you have a good support network and able to talk your decision through with others? X

My tests got lighter around 7 weeks, had a scan at 8 weeks and the baby was fine , perfect heartbeat. Symptoms tend to ease at 12 weeks too as the placenta takes over. As pp said are you sure you don’t want this pregnancy? Leaving it until 12 weeks is burying your head for a long time. I think you have consultations and a scan before a termination and have chance to talk things through with them with no obligation to continue so may be good to have a chat with them and decide. I think the process is more unpleasant the further along you are, obviously by 12 weeks it is pretty well formed.

I'm sure, I have a disabled child and a full time job, I've literally had no time to sort anything until able to take annual leave. The thought of taking the pill is horrific to me on that basis and I have bad anxiety so can't face 'seeing' anything that passes. I have to travel out of my town as well which costs money and takes time. So, it's all seemed really difficult, especially with the crushing fatigue and sickness. I finally contacted MSI yesterday and awaiting a call back.

Although if the pregnancy ended of its own accord which i thought it might have, I would struggle physically (i assume) but at least if I saw anything I wouldn't be thinking 'I caused that.'

I think after a certain number of weeks you can’t do it by pill and you have to have it done surgically, so you won’t see anything.

You won't be able to have the pill at 12 weeks.
