because this wasn't meant to happen yet

Just got a very faint positive and I don't know how I'm going to do it.

We have a 3 bedroom flat, and its perfect for us and our 4 lo's. The oldest is 6, youngest is still a baby.

I was exclusively and fully bf. We had sex once and stopped - it barely happened infact, and wasn't full sex either. Sorry if TMI.

There was always a chance we'd have more, but not when the youngest is still so small. There's only 14 months inbetween DC1 & 2, and although planned that way at the time, it was such hard work. How am I going to do it again?

I'd really appreciate any advice/words of wisdom. Thanks.

i HAve lots of children. The technical side of four to five is easy peasy (washing/cooking etc) and you are still in the swing of nappies etc. I reckon the hardest shifts are from one (pfb) baby to two and then from two to three (when children outnumber adults).

Hw old is your baby?

ScienceTeacher · 14/02/2008 16:54

You've got nine months to get used to the idea.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 14/02/2008 16:54

toosoon!

congratulations...you will be fine
five is fine i love it despite constant moaning to the contrary ,,its relentless and as dp says 'its what we do' there is very little no room for anything else in our lives.

how many are in school?

MarsLady · 14/02/2008 17:00

toosoon... ditto ggglmpp. You've done the hardest bit. Now you're at the relentless stage BUT as they grow it gets easier. They entertain each other, help out more (if you let them) and it's noisy and chaotic and fantastic.

toosoon · 14/02/2008 17:56

ahh, thank you all. I realised that 5pm is a really daft time to call on mums of 5 or more for help!

I am heartened to be in such good company, you are all names I 'know' on here. and I really do thank you for your advice.

Two are in school fulltime, DC3 will start part-time in September. Baby is only 6 months old, and I feel very sad for her in a way. I remember feeling like this when I found out I was PG with DC2.

I am a namechanger BTW.

Now, I did a test this afternoon which was a faint positive. I took it to a friends house for a second opinion (an iffy yes) and did another one there, which was still very faint but looked more like a line, but the test itself looked a bit odd as there were 3 parallel lines . They were all Clearblue.

DP brought home a digital test tonight. The 'pooter said "no".

I will try again tomorrow morning and that will be my final answer.

I am not to be. DP is . Bless.

i had a negative clearblue with this one early.....i am now 5 months!

liahgen · 14/02/2008 23:18

I'm a fiver too. Youngest is 9mths and I would love more. Exclusivley bf as yet, no signs of af till i stop altogether normally.

You will be fab.

For the record, couple people I know took apart the digital ones with a no, and lo and behold inside there were faint double lines, Next tests days later showed, yes.

annobal · 14/02/2008 23:33

Congratulations, maybe! Wow! Just a matter of time now really isn't it .

toosoon · 15/02/2008 09:35

Thanks everyone. This mornings digital test said 'no' too.

I've just spoken to Clearblue who said something went wrong with both tests and the vertical line should be as thick at the horizontal.

They have asked for them back and are sending me two more digital.

I am now going to pull apart those two digital tests. But am going with the 'no' for now. Because I can't stand the stress!
