I know it’s stupid to keep texting but this will be my 5th miscarriage 😢I went for a scan due to a bleed and by my LMP I should have been 8 weeks but measuring 6! Back on Wednesday for a repeat scan and I’m terrified this is all going wrong 😑 so I kept testing Bea cause I was paranoid so please don’t give me grief or tell me to put the sticks down or it’s hook effect because I tried that and it’s not working for me. I just need to know if this has happened to anyone and it’s been ok? Top test was Friday bottom is today

Have you tried watering down your urine?

Sdoc · 09/04/2023 09:42

Yeah I tried that it was even lighter 😢

If you're 8 weeks by LMP, then 6 weeks fetal age is exactly correct.

LMP is just a very rough estimate until they confirm your due date at 12 week scan.

By this stage the tests are going to stop being accurate as there is so much HCG in your system that they aren't designed to measure.

Early scans are a one way ticket to anxiety town. Please try not to worry, you are pregnant and testing won't change the outcome no matter what.

Thank you so much for your reply 😢 settled my nerves a bit. I think I’m just worried because there was only a yolk sac no fetal pole and everything I have read so far people normally have a heartbeat at 6 weeks and the midwife that done the scan told me it’s 50/50 when I asked if it was normal she seemed worried I was two weeks off ♥️

I actually had exactly the same at my early scan for my first pregnancy, and was measuring 10 weeks at my 12 weeks scan, I had to go back two week slater and then they were measuring a week ahead. Baby is now one year old!

They all grow differently and we can't truly know when the pregnancy 'began' as even if we are certain when ovulation occurred, it can take up to 9 days to implant.
