Pregnant after maternity and sick

Hi, I’m going back to work very soon after maternity but I am pregnant again and having awful morning sickness.

What options do I have? Tell work about pregnancy and take time off sick before I go back fit? Just go back and deal with it? Leave work?

I'm so confused.

All of the above.

Honestly people like this bemuse me! You clearly had no intention of going back to work! Why not just quit and live your life!or do you expect everyone else to pay you maternity pay and you do what you want.

I had this, I went back for 6 weeks, ended up having to have time off sick in that period and moved my maternity leave forward and started at 29 weeks

I'm legally entitled to my maternity leave and pay so why would I quit

Ah, I see the last 60 years of feminism have passed you by. Also, you know, equalities legislation.

I got pregnant very quickly after my son was born and I had the mirena coil put in after I'd had him. It failed. Yes, I would have expected work to pay my maternity pay had I not had a miscarriage. This is kindof how it works, you know.

@iminvestednow From your reply, I’m guessing you had a few too many wines last night and forgot that women have a right to start a family and not be penalised for it. The motherhood penalty is still there because of people like you.

Do you feel because I’m pregnant, I shouldn’t be able to work after this sickness subsides and after I finish maternity leave? Do you feel I should have my career taken away from me just because I dared to have more than one child?

Ignore them OP. My morning sickness was awful and I ended up in and out of hospital with HG. If you're not well enough to work then you must stay home sick. I had a long train commute into work and couldn't work from home. I couldn't go to work because the train would have been covered in vomit! Work were incredibly supportive and I was never made to feel I had to come in when I was unwell.
