36 weeks and baby still breech! What else can I do?

Hi mamas,

First time thread starter here! Tomorrow, I’ll be 36 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Everything’s gone well so far and baby is looking great and growing nicely, but she remains stubbornly breech. She’s not super high or super low. She moves her legs around very freely and can kick anywhere. But her head barely moves.

Had a scan last week and the radiographer said that baby has plenty of space, plenty of fluid and her cord isn’t tangled. There is no reason for her not to turn. She’s just comfy.

I wish she wasn’t! I need her to turn around!

So far, I’ve tried:

  • Postural and position changes (forward leaning inversion, knee to chest, breech tilt etc.)
  • Walking every day
  • Moxibustion
  • Acupuncture
  • Chiropractor
  • Physio

What else can I do??

Anyone got any nice, comforting stories about babies turning late?

No real advice but between 36 and 37 weeks my son turned into breech and back out, so it can happen!

My baby was still breech right up to around 39 weeks, I didn't do anything at all and he eventually turned himself around. There's still plenty time at 36 weeks so I wouldn't be worried.

@Stressedoutforever I did laugh when I read your username. You and me both!

My chiropractor told me a similar story. He was an ECV baby, but then he turned head up again, before turning head down himself just before delivery. So maybe some babies don’t play by the usual rules.

Thanks for commenting!

Hello, I am looking for a chiropractor specialising in the Webster technique and also looking for midwife trained in spinning babies exercises to flip a breech.
I am located in Reigate, can anyone please give any recommendations?
thank you!
