Diagnosed Clubfoot at 20 week scan

Hello all, this is my first thread on Mumsnet so a little nervous.
I am looking for some support and to hear of anyone else’s similar experience.
I had my 20 week scan yesterday (Friday) and all seemed to go well albeit the baby was lying in a difficult position to get measurements etc. The sonographer was really upbeat and then explained that she needed to check with the doctor on site as she believed our baby had talipes/clubfeet. My husband and I were quite shocked as we had never thought this would be picked up at this scan and we didn’t say much. She also explained that she can’t check the baby’s heart due to the positioning however my husband and I clearly seen the heart at start of scan. She came back from speaking to doctor to say she doesn’t have space to see us today but to come back on Monday.
I have been crying ever since and Monday seems so long away. I am worried there is more to the diagnosis due to not checking the heart with us.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks in advance

My friends son had this. Just had to wear some splints. Everything was fine. I hope you get some reassurance on Monday.

I don't want to dismiss the heart concern, but no experience of that. I'm sure once they get another scan it will be clearer. Be kind I yourself this weekend.

Sometimes club feet can be a marker of other genetic issues going on, but sometimes they just happen. My husband was born with two club feet and was fine.

Friends son born with club foot. He had a splint on for a year and he is now absolutely fine .

My wee niece had a club foot, my sister worried horribly there was going to be more wrong but she was perfect, she had to wear a foot thing for a good while and then in bed up until she was a few years old, she's 8 now and you wouldn't know a thing. Try not to worry about more being wrong too much, hope all goes ok Monday

My grandson was diagnosed with talipes before being born and of course initially was a huge shock to the family and was during the first lockdown.
When he was about six weeks old he was in plaster from toes to the top of his thighs and these casts were changed every two to three weeks. After a few months he then was measured for the special little boots and bar which he wore for 23 hours a day. After a while the boots and bar were reduced to being worn at night for twelve hours. He has received excellent care from the consultant and physios. He is walking and running like any other three year old.
It was a difficult time for his parents more so due to the lockdowns as you can imagine. But all is going so well and it’s amazing to see the difference in those little feet. In two years time our little grandson will no longer need his boots.

My husband was born with a very pronounced (toes touching shin) club foot that required surgery. They grafted some muscle from his calf to his ankle to provide support. As a result he has a scar on his ankle, a slightly flatter arch in his foot and one calf is thinner than the other. Unless you knew he had had the surgery, you wouldn't have a clue. He's very active with sport (triathlons, rugby) and the only restriction he has is that he can't get into a deep squat if weight lifting as the hinging on his ankle is a slightly stiffer than average but we're really talking marginal differences.

Quite a few children , several who are now grown ups , in our family have talipes.
I really wouldn't use the horrible term of club foot. For several if us it's been linked with hypermobility but none of us have any other health issues. My 20 yr old nephew had quite a serious case of talipes, also has hypermobility and is a talented spin bowler.
