I got my dates wrong, I’m 6+1, had a scan today due to low hcg level and no yolk sac was seen. Freaking out.

Any advice appreciated, I posted the other day saying I was anxious as we have done IVF and I got a positive test first time round. I went for a blood test to check hcg levels, and I’m at 1303 and apparently 6+1 weeks. They booked me for a scan today and only saw the gestational sac (measuring at around 5wks), no yolk sac or embryo. They said to prepare for the worst, but also that I could have just implanted late, so it isnt 100% a mmc. I’ve been referred to an EPU, but won’t be seen until Monday at the earliest now. Has anyone else had low hcg levels and no yolk sac or embryo at 6+1 and had a healthy pregnancy after?

Still no baby just a sac but it's increasing so back next week for another one . Cyst is measuring 8cm so won't operate will have baby via surgery and removal of cyst at same
Time still very concerning xx

@IVFfirsttimer91 I'm Sorry to hear that. I've also got a scan on Thursday to see if mine has been growing. Fingers crossed to both of us. Im glad you've at least been able to book in at the ivf clinic.

Yes @seven201 good luck to you for Thursday as well! And @LeeanneD11 im sorry you’re in pain. I’m keeping everything crossed for all of us. I just want to know one way or the other. It’s the not knowing that’s really getting to me.

Not good news. Gestations sack measuring at 5+5 now so grown a tiny bit, still no fetal pole or yolk sac. I’ve been advised it isn’t a viable pregnancy. I’m not going to take any more medication, and hopefully it will pass easily over the next week or so whilst I’m abroad.

Hope everyone else gets better news than me.

Oh I'm so sorry , I had this told at my appointment, was told it's increasing but still no sign of baby , maybe I'm measuring behind or my dates are wrong xx

@IVFfirsttimer91 I'm so sorry. I'm glad you at least know now. Please look after yourself. Let yourself be sad and feel any emotion.

My scan isn't until this afternoon, but I've had some brown spotting, so added worry.

@IVFfirsttimer91 thank you for checking on me, even after your news. My scan went well. Was really shocked as I'm just so used to bad news at appointments. I guess I'm proof that it can eventually work (I know that can still change). I hope you and your partner have been able to be of comfort to one another. Xxx

Going by my dates, I should have been 7w2d, had an early scan they couldn't see anything in gestational sac and had to go back a week later. Bloods in between those appointments were 3404, 3613, 3100. Went for scan as planned, was told that it's to confirm there's nothing there as bloods going down. There was a foetal pole and a heartbeat (very small but still there) everyone was shocked. Bloods that day came in at 2800. Another scan booked for next week. Has anyone ever heard of a pregnancy progressing but the HCG levels decreasing?!

Great to hear that you saw a fetal pole and heartbeat, but I’m not sure about the hcg levels decreasing im afraid. When is your scan next week? I really hope that everything is ok for you xx

Thank you for your reply. Scan is next Friday. I'm still in disbelief that they saw a heartbeat this week. I had geared myself up for a loss already. I'm sure only a miracle will result in a healthy baby, and they don't seem to happen much. It's just a waiting game.

@IVFfirsttimer91 so, scan revealed no heartbeat and I started bleeding spontaneously, we lost the pregnancy xx
