Hello Lovely Mums,
I am 38 Years old and had my first at 34. We are now planning for the second one. I did not have any pre pregnancy vitamins at my first pregnancy, but now thinking of having them this time. I have no idea which ones are good and what are the criteria for choosing them. I am a bit worried coz of the age factor as well. Looking forward to your suggestions. xx

@JennyMumsnet apologies for jumping on this post but I just wanted to understand (and thought I would post here in case others have the same question) - why is proceive conception only recommended for women under the age of 35? Why would it not be helpful for women trying to conceive who are 35 or over?

Hi @Khanga27 thanks for your reply! I've looked into it and according to this page from Proceive, it's to do with the nutrients in the vitamins and ovarian reserve after the age of 35. The Proceive Women tablets contain nutrients for conception tailored to the (average) fertility of women under 35.

There's also a Proceive Max Women option which has been designed for women over 35 or those who have been trying to conceive for over a year - these vitamins have extra nutrients in them, according to Proceive.

Hope this is helpful - I will amend the Mumsnet page accordingly to make this more clear Smile
