I really don't think it matters - I've conceived during the day and at night.

If there's an egg there and sperm in the system you have a chance.

It definitely doesn't matter.

As a PP said, so long as there is viable sperm there when the egg is released that's all that matters. There will certainly be a link between how long before ovulation is the ideal time to have sex to optimise conception. But the actual time will vary relative to when you ovulate, how quick the sperm are to get where they need to get to etc.

Try not to over think it. Every other day throughout your cycle will give the average couple the best chance. And if you know when you ovulate then the day before and day of will be your absolute best chances on average.

Don’t you mean day and night.

We’ve only ever done late at night! I hadn’t even given time of the day a thought I really don’t think it matters xx

We only ever did night when ttc. I doubt it makes much difference unless you ovulated in morning 2 days earlier or something. If you’re dtd in the run up and day of ovulation it would make no difference

I don't think it makes much difference but we did mainly mornings Cycle 2 which didn't work and nights Cycle which did work x

Got2besoon · 25/03/2023 17:13

I think sperms are meant to be slightly more successful in the morning?

We've conceived both morning and night (I think) and I suspect most people DTD at night. I can't imagine it's an issue!

Are you the same poster worrying about hours of sleep?
