Baby not moving 24 weeks

Hi mums and mums to be,

I'm 24 weeks pregnant nearly 25 actually and have not felt the baby move much in the last 3 weeks. I've been going in to the hospital triage and they've checked the baby's heartbeat and done a growth scan and said everything's okay. I can't call my mind though, she used to kick several times in a day and now there's hardly any movement. I don't know what's wrong, midwives mentioned she's kicking when they tried listening in with the Doppler. Why am I not feeling it?

My placenta is not anterior, it's lateral right and other than that I have no other issues such as gestational diabetes etc. She's weighing 700g, amniotic fluid is normal and blood flow to the placenta is normal too. Has anyone experienced this before? Its giving me sleepless nights.

The Dr gave me extra growth scans on the 28th, 32nd and 36th week to be reassured but that seems a bit far away. I hope they're not overlooking something in the scan.

Please if someone has any personal experiences to share or ways that have worked for them in getting the baby to move more frequently that would be much appreciated. I haven't had any backache or bleeding either so there's zero explanation for this.

Thank you!

baby is still fairly small so if she is in certain positions you may still find it difficult to feel, for example if she’s kicking towards your back. You are doing the right thing by calling in if you’re worried about it. Remember a lot of people don’t feel any movement until 24 weeks. It’s great the you are monitoring it so well

I don't think they start showing any kind of reliable pattern until around 24 weeks so given you've had some medical checks and everything is ok, I'd just take it that they're a low active baby and try not to worry unless the movements become even less frequent. It's so hard not to worry about these things!
