Does being super fertile make you have a higher chance of recurrent miscarriages ?

Just that really. I’ve been pregnant 5 times so far, with 3 miscarriages. All of those 5x pregnancies I got pregnant within the first try. Even after 2x miscarriages I got pregnant again the first tries after. I actually thought getting pregnant first try was normal, as I know other friends and ppl who say they got pregnant first try. But my husband says it’s not normal , especially 5 times . I then went on google and found articles that if you’re super fertile then you might have a higher chance of miscarriage. I’m now 3x cycles in and still not pregnant, which I’m hoping is a good sign that my body is rejecting the “bad” egg and waiting for the good one . Im waiting for an appointment with the recurrent miscarriage specialist where I have a load of questions.

This is the article I found and there’s more

Hello!
we started trying from a baby this year, got pregnant first try and miscarried at 5-6 weeks. Got pregnant straight away again (before having period) and again miscarried super early. We then didn’t try for a few months to let things settle down and got pregnant straight away again and I’m now 20 weeks.
My GP said I was likely hyper fertile and my womb was so inviting it would let even non viable embryos implant. It’s a positive and a negative getting pregnant so easily.
I hope the appointment goes well 😊

I'm not sure...

But we've conceived every single time we have tried to.

Tried for #1, fell first time, tried for #2, early loss, tried again, early loss, tried again, and now I'm 27 weeks.

We actively avoided conceiving by tracking ovulation for years, too.

Thankyou 😊

Yes. The exact same thing happened to me - freaky hyperfertility that meant I got pregnant every time we tried. Literally every single time. DH thought he had super sperm. But the doctor said it was more likely I had an 'unfussy womb'. Charming!

Anyway, I had 6 miscarriages in a row (mostly chemicals at 4/5 weeks, one at six weeks and one missed miscarriage with a D and C at 11 weeks). Had an appointment booked for a recurrent miscarriage clinic, but in meantime I got pregnant and this one stuck. I had my DS. Then another miscarriage, then my second DS! We are very careful with contraception now.

Wow! You could be talking about me. I just had to wake my husband to show him this. I had 5 miscarriages, lost 7 babies, (2 sets of twins), one after another, falling pregnant first cycle for most of them. Lost them all between 6 and 16 weeks. I would say that I was amazing at getting pregnant but terrible at carrying. All hospital tests showed that we were perfectly healthy and I already had two children to prove I could. Baffling.
We decided to try one last time before giving up completely and amazingly it was 6th time lucky, though I was a nervous wreck until she was in my arms.
Even more amazing was falling pregnant with twins 3 months after she was born. Another successful pregnancy.
My 3 'miracle' babies are teenagers now.
Hope my story gives strength and hope to anyone going through a similar traumatic experience.
