Bleeding after sex or bowel movement - 2nd trimester

I am currently in week 14 and I get vaginal bleeding almost every time after sex or bowel movement. It has now happened to me 5-6 times (it started a few weeks ago). I have raised my concerns with my midwifes who are tracking my pregnancy but they say it is probably my cervix being too sensitive, so the bleeding is most likely external and nothing serious. This is also the reason why they haven't considered it necessary to send me to a gynecologist for a further check....
While I do hope they are right, I cannot help worrying about whether this may have something to do with the placenta or anything else that's more serious.
The blood is bright red and not that much but also not just a few drops, it takes a couple of wipes to wipe everything off. I do not have any pains associated with it.
According to my midwifes, if this is happening to me so often, it's likely that I have it throughout the whole pregnancy.
So, I wanted to check, is this something anyone else has ever dealt with before??
Thanks in advance.

Yes this happened with me in second trimester - they did an internal check and said I was inflamed. Turned out I had thrush which is very common during pregnancy and can cause bleeding. I was given a pessary but had to get myself a second one as the bleeding continued (after sex.)
So yes I wouldn’t worry too much they should do a scan though to check your placenta is in a place where it can’t cause bleeding.

I had bleeding after sex. Midwives weren’t concerned as your cervix is more sensitive during pregnancy plus the extra blood flow can make you bleed a little with sex. She said it’s very common. I had a healthy baby.

they will have looked at the position of your placenta during your scan so it’s not needed to look again
