Sounds like hiccups but if you are worried then always best to get checked out! The midwives will say that they would rather you get checked than not come in x

As previous poster said, it's probably hiccups but do share your concerns with your midwife x

Just sounds like hiccups or normal baby movements. If you are worried speak to your midwife

I have had this in my current pregnancy. She was shaking both legs and hands at the same time, synchronised, for a few seconds.

I’ve asked the consultant and she said while it could be seizures (and if that’s the case there’s nothing to be done until birth), it’s really unlikely and it’s just her neurological development prompting them. Very common.

I also don’t think it was a seizure as it was quite short, 1-2 seconds.

I also been told by a few midwives it’s totally normal and they’ve seen lots of women having this.

I didn’t have it in my previous pregnancy.

she’s not doing this anymore, I’m 38 weeks now, can’t remember when they stopped. But definitely had them before and around the 30 weeks mark as this is when I had a scan and asked the consultant after.

sounds like you’re having the same. Don’t worry it will be alright .

It's possible but v rare. Jerky movements like you describe are common - babies don't have fully developed nervous systems so they are jerky and sporadic in their movements

All three of my babies occasionally seemed to 'vibrate' inside me for a couple of seconds. They all did similar movements (usually just a single arm or leg) occasionally when outside too - just gradually grew out of it as they got older. All healthy. Such a weird feeling though!
