Severe cramps after sleep

I'm 5 weeks today.

Throughout the day off and on I'm cramping.
Nothing excessive and I can deal with it.

However, I'm find that if I nap or sleep at night, I wake up to the worst cramps.
Yesterday, I napped for an hour after work , then woke to the most extreme cramps. I ended up on my floor with my head down and legs tucked under, until they subsided.
Woke up this morning to the same thing.

There's no other symptoms, no spotting or nausea.
Just intense cramps after sleeping.

Does anyone else get this?

I assume its due to hormones which increase as you sleep, wreaking havoc.

I get a bit of cramping after sleeping through the nigh too. Doesn’t sound as painful as yours but definitely uncomfortable… hope yours get better, I did just read another post ‘severe cramps’ and everyone said it’s normal! Do call for guidance if it gets worse though? X

They didn't get better.

I ended up going back and forth to the hospital because the pain was so severe that I was literally screaming.
Think period pains on steroids.

It's the worst pain I've ever dealt with.

They lasted around 30 minutes at a time, with no let up.

By the time the pain stopped, my whole body would be shaking and I would be so fatigued, it would wipe me out for a day or so.

I went back and forth to the hospital, had a scan, no ectopic pregnancy but I did ovulate from both ovaries.
They kept blaming it on my bowels, but I'm certain it wasn't.
If you've ever had period pains, it's really quite specific where the area is. This was the same.

I told the doctors they were making me feel really invalidated when they kept blaming it on my bowels, but they just ignored what I was telling them and then told me it wasnt gynecological. Then told me to speak to my Dr for pain management.

I felt completely lost.

Add this to my dad being in hospital and migraines on top (and other life stuff), I just felt stuffed mentally.

So in the end I opted for a termination.

I've only just had my first period since and I'm going through ovulation. The pain areas I experienced whilst pregnant are the same as the ovulation pain points I'm getting at present, although the ovulation pain is mild.
But its the same area.

Honestly it's put me off ever wanting to be pregnant again.

I really have no faith with the NHS.

Really sorry to hear this. It's not a fun place to be when you feel like no one is taking your symptoms seriously. I hope at least now you have some relief. In the future, if possible, could you try a different hospital?

Yeah, I have relief from it. Although I ended up losing my job just after the termination and migraines have been most days since.

Really not had it easy.

Another hospital wouldn't be an option.

I live in Plymouth so the only one is the big one we have, Derriford.

I really don't think I'll ever go through it again.

It's put me off to the point I want to be sterilised.
