First trimester exercise whilst exhausted

Hi, looking for some advice:

I started doing the sweat app pregnancy programme as soon as I found out I was pregnant and I was really enjoying as it is just 15-20 mins 3 times a week so felt manageable for me. It’s very important to me to remain strong during pregnancy

however since week 8 my pregnancy related exhaustion has been awful, I thought it was partly from my job as a teacher but I’m on half term this week and it’s even worse! I tried once to do one of the workouts two weeks ago but I was just really struggling through it so stopped. Now 10+3 and as the exhaustion hasn’t let up I haven’t tried again since

for those who did exercise during pregnancy and who experienced extreme exhaustion in first trimester, did you continue exercising and push through or did you pause until the exhaustion went away (which I’m crossing everything it will!). Part of me worries that lack of movement itself contributes to the tiredness

I'm 9+2 and completely exhausted too and have also been having an awful cold. No chance of exercising now. I'm asleep at around 7pm each evening and just about make it through work and daily chores....

Was similar in my first pregnancy, returned to exercise in second trimester and kept going till 40+ weeks (with reduced intensity from about 35 weeks). Hoping for similar again.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so tired. I agree with you to keep moving if possible but as long as you're not feeling much worse as a result or taking ages to recover.

I'm in my 3rd trimester and on really exhausted days, I go for a walk after breakfast, lunch and dinner. The movement helps relax me, I feel worse if I just stay in the house, but moving after eating also helps with glucose metabolism - insulin sensitivity decreases as pregnancy progresses so again a lack of movement can end up making you feel more tired.

I started doing the sweat app at week 14. No way could I have done it before then, I was napping twice a day and sleeping 12-14 hours at night I was so tired.
The only exercise I did in my 1st trimester was going for walks and the odd Pilates class.
I’m 27 weeks now, swimming twice a week,
yoga and Pilates and still doing the sweat app and I feel great.
If you’re exhausted I would listen to your body and rest, it won’t be for much longer.

I'm 8 weeks today and absolutely exhausted, I haven't done any exercise at all in the past week apart from making sure I'm out for a walk at least once, and not going to put myself under any pressure for the next few weeks! Definitely going to prioritise naps over workouts!
