Has anyone had this? I’m considering this for my third pregnancy but so scared of the risks of uterine rupture.

Has anyone gone through this and successfully?

What were the doctors/midwives opinions on it? Did they try to talk you out of it?

Hi, I’m 30+3 with my 3rd LO and had two previous sections. Admittedly they were 9 and 10 years ago but have had key hole surgery more recently too. My consultant was very relaxed about VBAC they just said they wouldn’t induce me so it’s natural or ELCS. I’ve found all health care professionals I’ve spoken to this time around to be really supportive of VBACs. How long ago were your previous sections? We’re they emergencies or elective? What was the reason for any emergency ones? These seem to be the main points which there consultants consider when making a recommendation.
This baby is being stubborn at the moment though and lying high transverse and has been the whole time. If he/she doesn’t move by 34 week appointment then a section will be scheduled for 38 weeks. X

@Sales88
That’s interesting to hear. I feel like most of the cases I have heard of the doctors have been against it. So nice to hear the opposite for once.

I’m not actually pregnant yet, this is more what ifs for a planned pregnancy.
But first C-section was an emergency due to failure to progress (after induction) just over 4 years ago and the second one was an elective 18 months ago. So not too long ago, but it should be at least another year on top of that until birth when/if it does happen.

Good luck you and hope baby turns around for you. You’ve still got a bit more time to go. Fingers crossed.
