Would anyone here take a 2hr flight at 36wks pregnant (airline permitting)?
The trip is only for a long weekend - Friday to Sunday - to Spain.
The flights is only 2hrs but the travel as a whole will likely be closer to 4-5hrs once you include transfers and hanging around at the airport etc.

No - my first was born at 37 weeks.

No.

No, I wouldn’t.

No definitely not. And I doubt any airline would allow you to fly with them.

I’ve just given birth at 37 weeks with my first. I’d really think twice about this.

Betsyboo87 · 08/02/2023 12:41

No I wouldn’t. Sounds exhausting and uncomfortable for only one full day there. Also not worth the risk of baby being born abroad. You could be stuck there for weeks sorting a passport. Most airlines have a cut off as end of 36th week. So you would have to return by 35+6. If there was a delay you would be stuck.

No definitely not. Most airlines won’t take you, even if they do you’d need a letter from your dr to sign you off as able to fly. I can’t see many if any drs signing that at such a late stage. Then there’s travel insurance which would be pretty impossible to get but it wouldn’t be worth the risk not to.

No its not even the travel that would bother me
its if u go into labour in a different country...
can u even get health insurance at this point?
