This is my second and with my first I was buying things the day I found out I was pregnant 🤣 I'm 20 weeks and I have my scan coming up next week, I have saved a good £700 to prepare but when do I start I just feel like I have ages yet🤣

Ah I’m not far behind you and I’ve just got a pack of babygrows & a pack of vests this week. Will probably start around 30 weeks for the bigger stuff, unless you’ve saved them from your 1st.

What do you need to buy except newborn nappies? Don't you have all the stuff from DC1? I think I bought one new pack of vests and a juice babygro so DC2 would have their own going home outfit. That was it.

Unfortunately I have nothing saved there's 4 years between my two and I donated all my baby things to my sister when she had her baby I literally need every all over again 🥱🤣x

It’s our 4th and I gave all our baby stuff away last year when we moved house 🙈regretting that now as I had some gorgeous stuff.
You could always start end of feb? 25/26 weeks?

If you’ve £700 saved and need everything I would probably keep an eye out for good second hand bargains for a pram, cot etc. there’s loads of bargains for clothing on vinted or maybe see if there is a second hand baby shop near you. I have a couple near me and it’s so much cheaper than buying new.

is there any way you can ask your sister for some of the things back?

I'm nearly 22 weeks and I'm going to start buying once I get beyond 24 weeks. It's second baby so I'm a bit wiser and I know I don't need to buy loads of stuff. Baby grows, travel system, nappies, bottle stuff and cot, basically.

It will probably be more hassle than it's worth lol I moved 7 hours from my family this year so it's a long way to get it all back also i don't think she has anything anymore either her baby is 3 x

30 weeks and not bought anything. We have my PIL coming to stay in a few weeks and they would like to go shopping so we’ll start then. I don’t really want it cluttering up the place until we need it. We still have the carrycot to go on the buggy but aside from that we don’t have anything else from DC1.
