Help ...Need Advice for Bad Pain

Mosschops30 · 05/12/2004 18:54

Am having really bad stabbing pains from the inside, low down in pelvic area (to put it bluntly feel like I'm being stabbed in the floof from the inside).
33 weeks, could this be the head engaging or something I should worry about.

Its so bad that I have had to literally cry out with the pain and hold on to dh (oh and there's no pattern so dont think contracting)

call NHS Direct now. 08454647. Never heard of this, but if it's that painful you should talk to someone right away.

Mosschops30 - how are you? I've been worrying. Hope you're fine.

Ring your local Maternity Unit? Hope you're OK.

Still have the pain, although still very infrequent and usually when lying down or getting up from sitting/lying.
I do feel like ds is banging his head inside me ....is this possible and can you feel the head engage?

I'm also 33 weeks and I've had some shooting, stabbing pains in my vagina occasionally for the last couple of weeks or so. It's because the baby is now head down according to my midwife, though not yet engaged. It does hurt a bit, but I find it reassuring that baby is in the right position.

I'd talk to your midwife.

I'm seeing mw tomorrow, is it ok to wait till then. I feel a bit pathetic phoning them for every little thing

never feel pathetic about phoning them! You never know.

As for your pains... I had this too, ds was pushing on something when he was head down, hence the pain. And my neighbour who awas preggers at the same time as myself, sometimes could hardly walk because of 'crouch' pains. So even though it's very uncomfortable I think you've got nothing to worry about, but still speak to your MW or GP so they make doubly sure
