Mum & Dad disappointed we found out the gender

Hi,

We’ve just had our 20 week scan and decided to find out the gender. Which we are both super happy about!

We decided to tell our family but my mum said she doesn’t want to know, she wants a surprise. She is now peeved that my sisters know and has made a sarcastic comment about avoiding them for 20 weeks 😂

My dads first reaction was ‘Ahhh you found out, what a shame’.

Has anyone else had this reaction from their parents and think it’s a little selfish?

Ah, ignore them OP. Enjoy your pregnancy! My usually lovely Nan was rude about names of her grandkids’ babies. My cousins were offended but my line of choice was “You had your turn to pick a name you love 3 times.” She stopped moaning about how I didn’t get/want a Moses basket and all the stuff she had decades ago with time when the message eventually sank in.

I didn't want to find out but at the 20 week scan he made it very obvious and the person doing the ultrasound couldn't move the scanner thing away quick enough.

They’re being dicks. 🤷‍♀️
